Placerville Church of Christ

About the Placerville Congregation
We have been blessed with a diverse and encouraging Christian family here in Placerville. Our family of believers is committed to God and His Word (the Bible), as well as to weekly fellowship, study, worship, and constant service to our Lord. As one brother is fond of putting it, "We just want to be Christians here."

Meeting together every week gives us the chance to edify ("build up") the Body. During our weekly meetings we have encouraging and worshipful singing, praying, lessons, bible studies, and fellowship.

On Sundays, we share the Lord's Supper, commemorating Christ's body and blood that He gave up in His selfless, atoning sacrifice. This time also provides our members with an opportunity to give back to the Lord (and to the work of the church) during the offering.

With Christ as our focus, we have the opportunity to reach out to the different communities of El Dorado County, and we are continually trying to preach a message of joy and salvation through Christ. The main purpose of our outreach is to do just that, and we have a commission that the Lord Jesus Himself gave in Matthew 28:19-20, when He said:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Whether you are new to the area, or want to stop in for a visit, we welcome you to join us as our honored guest at any one of our services during the week. It doesn't matter if you are already a Christian, or are just a person seeking answers or some type of help. If we can assist you in any way or if you would like more information about us, please let us know. Below, you will find our contact information. May God bless you richly, friend.
